Our expertise extends to a wide range of projects in the residential and commercial sectors, encompassing both permanent and temporary works. We are currently seeking a Design Structural Engineer to join our team in London.

Job Summary:

As a Design Structural Engineer at LSY Engineering Consultants Ltd, you will have the opportunity to work on live ongoing projects while receiving support from a team of experienced professionals, ranging from graduates to chartered engineers. Your role will involve collaborating with architects and other engineering disciplines to develop integrated design solutions. We are committed to supporting your professional development.

Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering + Chartered or actively working towards chartership.
• At least 5 years of full-time experience in a Structural Practice since graduation. This is to include projects both up to RIBA Stage 6 and experience on site.
• Significant experience of project delivery using Revit 3D/Auto CAD and other software’s.
• Experience at MS Office package.
• Experience with the most relevant design codes in UK.
• Experience with construction materials relevant in UK.
• Experience with temporary works designs.
• Experience undertaking structural surveys and subsidence surveys.
• Ability to attend design meetings, present design solutions and make relevant notes.
• Readiness to travel to site for the purpose of site surveys or checking site progress.
• Readiness to carry out site monitoring and roles on site.
• Desire to work in team environment, both with other engineers, architects and with other professionals.
• Ability to work under medium & low level of supervision.
• Ability to coordinate the work of structural project team internally and with other project participants.
• Fluent in English.

What successful candidate would ideally also demonstrate is:

• Experienced user of FE analysis programs such as Robot, or similar.
• Experience in geotechnical engineering would be an advantage.
• Ability to produce Hand calculations.
• Ability to produce Hand Sketches to demonstrate design solutions.
• Extensive knowledge of Eurocodes.
